There are no other whale watching tours on the BC coast quite like ours!

3.5 to 4 Hour Motor Cruise

An exhilarating and adventuresome tour!

Built specifically for whale watching and photography, M. V. Cetacea provides full range viewing capability and the feeling of being close to the water.

Passengers enjoy the feeling of the open space and safety as provided by the stable decks and hand railings that encircle the full length of the vessel.

Humpback Whale & MV Cetacea

M. V. Cetacea is suitable for people of all ages but especially for those who have less time available to them and for those whose specific and prime reason for taking a whale watching tour is to see an orca. Because of its engine capabilities, on the few days when orcas are a greater distance away than is usual, it has a greater chance of reaching them.

While sitting on or above their seats, passengers are thrilled and delighted with their ride through the protected waters of Johnstone Strait, Blackfish Sound and Queen Charlotte Strait. On the way home, on most tours, there is also time to sample the magical "inside waters".

Meandering slowly through narrow tidal waterways, the viewing in addition to orcas, is an array of other marine life and it is here that M.V. Cetacea comes into her own as being an exceptional vessel from which to view the natural world.

People gaze in wonder, taking every opportunity to photograph and savour the visual beauty so accessible to them from their viewing platform.

A licensed vessel with a carrying capacity for 30, on a typical tour it is usual for there to be 14-24 passengers. We encourage people to bring along their own snacks and beverages, they can also be purchased on board.

It is a magical fun-filled tour that is popular with families, groups and individual travelers.

A versatile vessel, it is also available for private charters: for bus tours, clubs, film crews, groups and family reunions.
